There is not much more I can say without spoiling you. Every turn of the page presented more struggle and hope. It is the perfect historical fiction book with all the elements that create a perfect story. There are moments that will make you laugh, cry, smile and plead. The main character, Gerta Lowe, is a character that will stick with you for the rest of your life. It was a whirlwind of action, history and hope.
